A Diaspora Engagement Initiative

Looking Back Over 40 Years Through the Eyes of 40 Nigerians in Diaspora to Map a Better Future for Our Motherland

THE PAST

40 years ago, frustrated Nigerian youths (AKA Andrew) checked out of Nigeria for good. The Nigeria Diaspora Project 40/40 seeks to highlight the major wave of emigration history of the Nigerian Diaspora specifically narrowing it down from 1981 till 2021.

THE PRESENT

40 years after Andrew checked out, Nigeria is still the same. The Nigeria Diaspora Project 40/40 seeks to engage 40 Nigerians in diaspora to share their stories, transfer knowledge and inspire change. Andrew, Nigeria needs you now!

THE FUTURE

Within the next 40 years, a new generation of Andrews will emerge. The Nigeria Diaspora Project 40/40 seeks to ensure Nigerians in diaspora actively engage with our motherland and equip them with the means of doing so to help shape the future of Nigeria.
